Only a week to go and
things are still looking a little slow but we are being told the summer
is about to start. (A) shows
how things are looking in the shade house, at last a bit of colour to
look at. A little more sunshine over the week end and into next week
should help push things on a bit. You can now see the stem at the top of
the plant, (B) all the growth is now
channeled into the flower.
A few promising blooms (C)
Isabel Keenan (D) Sweet Dreams &
(E) Snowbird. The buds for the National
are now pushing through (F) and now
require collars to be fitted (G).
The greenhouse plants (H) are a
little more behind left a few with smaller buds as an insurance against
a heat wave. |
